Tuition & Financial Aid
While MSIMS is an independent, tuition-based school, we are a nonprofit, community school deeply committed to ensuring that tuition is never a barrier or deterrent to enrollment. We believe wholeheartedly that all children deserve access to a high-quality Montessori education, and we want families who feel aligned with our mission to be part of our community.
To support this commitment, MSIMS offers financial aid for families enrolling in our Primary and Elementary programs. Families may apply for financial assistance through our FACTS platform, and all applications are reviewed confidentially. As a nonprofit organization, we intentionally allocate resources to support accessibility and to foster a diverse, inclusive school community where all children can thrive.
For more information about financial aid or the application process, please contact enrollment@mountainshadows.org.
Colorado Universal Preschool (UPK) provides 15 hours per week of tuition-free preschool for eligible 4-year-olds. UPK will be available at Mountain Shadows Montessori School beginning in the 2026–2027 school year and may be applied toward tuition during the year before Kindergarten.
Eligible children must live in Colorado, be 4 years old by October 1, 2026, and complete the state UPK application. Families enrolled in full-day or extended-day programs may use UPK funding to offset tuition, and some families may qualify for additional support based on need. Applying for UPK is separate from MSIMS enrollment and does not guarantee placement. Space is limited and families are encouraged to apply early.
The Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) helps eligible families offset the cost of childcare through financial assistance administered by Boulder County and the State of Colorado. Mountain Shadows Montessori School accepts CCAP for qualifying families, supporting access to high-quality Montessori education.
Eligibility is based on factors such as income, family size, and employment or school enrollment. Approved CCAP benefits may be applied toward tuition for eligible programs at MSIMS. CCAP is a separate application process from MSIMS enrollment and approval does not guarantee placement. Funding availability and benefit levels are determined by the county and state.
