Kyle Phibbs (He/Him)
Elementary Lead Guide
Serving Mountain Shadows since 2024
Kyle Phibbs, a Colorado native, is a passionate and dedicated educator with a diverse background spanning many subjects and disciplines. Most recently, he spent nearly three years living and teaching English in Kochi, Japan. His time in Japan deepened his interest in education and ultimately led him to the Montessori approach. Kyle holds his AMI Elementary Diploma for ages 6–12 from The Montessori Institute in Denver and is now entering his third year at Mountain Shadows. Over the past two years, he has gained extensive experience in our Elementary community while receiving mentorship from veteran Montessori educators. Kyle is grateful to be part of such a vibrant community of children, families, and colleagues and looks forward to continuing to grow alongside them. Kyle studied Theatre at Colorado State University and enjoys bringing creativity, storytelling, and performance into the classroom. He hopes to inspire children to create and perform their own works while fostering confidence, collaboration, and self-expression. His background includes acting, writing, directing, costume design, and scenic design. As a lifelong lover of animals, Kyle spent his summers in high school volunteering at the Denver Zoo, so he is always ready to share an interesting animal fact with anyone who will listen. He has cared for many pets throughout his life and enjoys learning about creatures great and small. In his free time, Kyle enjoys a wide variety of hobbies and activities, including origami, cooking, cycling, and language learning. He gained intermediate proficiency in Japanese during his time in Japan and is currently studying Spanish as well. He enjoys traveling and hopes to use his language skills to build meaningful connections with people and cultures around the world.
