Kamryn Melrose was born and raised in Lexington, Kentucky—one of the largest cities in the state, despite often being asked where her southern accent is. She attended Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and developed a strong foundation in supporting student growth and learning.

Kamryn has always had a natural connection with children and has been drawn to working with them for as long as she can remember. She loves how such small humans can hold such big, vibrant personalities and finds joy in creating environments where children feel confident, supported, and free to be themselves. Her experience as a nanny, Teacher’s Assistant, Paraeducator, and Substitute Teacher has given her a well-rounded understanding of the classroom and the importance of fostering both academic and emotional development.

She is especially passionate about Montessori education and deeply values its emphasis on independence, curiosity, and confidence-building. She is drawn to the way Montessori encourages children to take ownership of their learning, explore at their own pace, and develop a strong sense of self. Kamryn believes this approach not only supports academic growth but also nurtures emotional intelligence, responsibility, and a lifelong love of learning. She is inspired by the thoughtfully prepared environments and the respect Montessori education shows for each child as an individual, and she is excited to be part of a community that reflects those values.

Known for her bubbly, energetic, and outgoing personality, Kamryn loves connecting with others and believes in the power of small, positive interactions. She makes it a point to find something kind to say each day—whether it’s a compliment or words of encouragement—because she believes even the smallest moment can make a meaningful difference. If she could, she would give everyone in the world a hug.

Outside of work, Kamryn enjoys traveling and embracing spontaneity, including spending a year exploring the United States in a camper-van with her fiancé and their longhaired dachshund, Arlo—their pride and joy. Kamryn is also creative at heart and enjoys crafts like clay sculpting, painting, and knitting. With a deep love for animals and a passion for the outdoors, she enjoys volunteering, meditating in nature, exploring walking trails with Arlo, and spends most of her time outdoors.
