Erika Magrisse (She/Her)

Community Engagement Coordinator

Serving Mountain Shadows since 2025

Erika Magrisse was born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil. She and her husband fell in love with Boulder and its mountains after visiting in 2019 and the family eventually moved with their two children in 2024

Her professional path has been a diverse and enriching one: beginning in the financial markets, later moving into the healthcare sector, and eventually co-leading her husband’s endurance-sports coaching business. Each chapter deepened her appreciation for connection, growth, and the many ways people pursue meaning and balance in life.

A lifelong learner, Erika has always been fascinated by languages. She began studying English at a very young age and later explored German, French, and Spanish—often switching between them just for fun. Her love of words didn’t keep her from also loving numbers: she earned her degree in Business Administration with a focus in finance and statistics and spent many years building financial models, writing code and exploring data, which only strengthened her curiosity for how things work.

Erika’s journey into Montessori began when her children were young, and what started as simple curiosity soon became a deep calling. Discovering Montessori reshaped the way she sees childhood, learning, and family life. Having experienced her own challenges as a learner, Erika was moved by how Montessori offers each child the freedom to learn at their own pace and through their own interests, a freedom that later translates into self confidence and a lifelong love of learning.

Outside of her career, Erika loves reading, writing and watching movies - but finds immense joy in motherhood and in the slow rhythm of family life. On weekends, she enjoys baking sourdough, reading with her children, and spending time as a family. She and her family love running, biking, and exploring Boulder’s beautiful trails together.

Every individual matters. Every individual has a role to play. Every individual makes a difference.
