Ella began her teaching profession in 2007. She is originally from SouthKorea and came to the U. S. to pursue a Master’s degree in English Education at the Central Michigan University. She earned Bachelor’s degree in English Education from Jeju University and worked as an English teacher in middle and high schools for 3 years. After finishing her graduate school in Michigan, she has worked in various Montessori schools as an assistant and a lead for the past 12 years. She obtained her Montessori certificate from Montessori Education Center of Rockies in May 2024. She has been delighted to see children grow tremendously inthe Montessori environment.

Ella is a mom of a boy and a girl and lives in the Erie area with her husband and the two children. She moved from the Northern Virginia area to the Denver area in 2016 and has been enjoying the beautiful nature and weather here. Ella likes cooking and baking in her spare time. She usually cooks Korean food and bakes Korean dessert. In her freetime, she loves to sew and knit for her children, as well as herself. Shealso likes to travel with her family to venture around the world. She wants her children to see the world with their own eyes and learn about different environments in the world, which is one of the great advantages of Montessori environment. Children learn about different parts of the world and are prepared to be citizens of the world. Ella believes that education is a natural process within the child, not something imposed by the teacher.

Education is not something which the teacher does, but a natural process that develops spontaneously in the human being.
