Megan is originally from Des Moines, Iowa, where she experienced the transformative power of a Montessori education when she spent her primary and elementary school years in a Montessori public school. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Sociology and Anthropology from Colorado State University, and after graduating moved to California. While there, she completed her AMI Primary training and for the past six years, has nurtured and guided children as a Primary guide at a Montessori school in Los Angeles. She was recently brought back to beautiful Colorado with her husband and two dogs. She is looking forward to continuing her Montessori education by completing the Assistance to Infancy Training here in Denver, beginning in the Fall!

When not in the classroom, Megan enjoys being outside whether it’s backpacking, camping, gardening, skiing, surfing and exploring the world through travel. Megan is thrilled to be joining such an amazing Montessori community at Mountain Shadows!
