Annie is originally from the Chicago area and studied Russian Language and Political Science at Grinnell College in Iowa. After college, she continued her Russian studies in Siberia, an experience that reminded her of the Midwest.

Her professional background includes working for a non-profit serving resettled refugees and immigrants, supporting Northwestern University in Qatar as a program assistant, and assisting with policy research projects. Annie was drawn to Mountain Shadows because of her love for small schools where community and character are valued.

Outside of work, Annie enjoys arts and crafts, dancing, giggling, watching figure skating, and playing badminton, tennis, and volleyball. She especially loves soaking in the beauty of Colorado’s fall colors.
