Earth Day Event

We're counting down the days to our next whole-school community event on Friday, April 19th, in celebration of Earth Day! We invite all families to join us from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm in our Peace Garden/Courtyard. In the event of inclement weather, we'll gather in the MPR.

If you are not attending the event, please pick your child up by 12:00 pm!

Let's aim for sustainability and zero waste! We're planning an earth-forward potluck lunch. Please click the link below to sign up for your dish:

What to Bring:

-White t-shirts for tie-dye activity

- Small pots for seed planting activity

- Picnic Blanket

- Cups or mugs for lemonade, tea, or water

- Plate, silverware, napkin

What we still need:

- Yard games such as cornhole or giant Jenga

What to Expect:

- Songs and student presentations

- Recycled art projects

- Groovy tunes

- Yummy food

- Crafts, activities, and more!

Calling all Primary Students and Parents!

We warmly invite you to join us on Thursday, March 7th from 5:00-6:15 pm in your child's classroom for an exclusive glimpse into their learning journey. Your child is excited to showcase their favorite lessons and activities.

This event presents a wonderful opportunity for you to gain deeper insights into your child's daily school experience and observe their growth and development ahead of upcoming conferences. We look forward to welcoming you and sharing this enriching experience together.

Childcare is not provided for siblings.

Montessori Journey & Discovery

You are cordially invited to embark on a unique and immersive journey into the world of Montessori education. Our two-part Montessori Silent Journey and Discovery event is an exclusive opportunity to witness and experience the essence of Montessori principles in action. 

During this experience, you will have the chance to experience Montessori through the eyes of a child. 

  • Observe: Witness Montessori classrooms in their natural state, observing how children engage, learn, and discover at their own pace.

  • Reflect: Take time to reflect on the subtleties and nuances of the Montessori approach, guided by experienced educators.

  • Engage: Interact with our passionate educators and staff to gain insights into the philosophy and methodology behind the Montessori method.

  • Discover: Explore the beautifully curated Montessori materials and environments, understanding their role in fostering independence, creativity, and a love for learning.

Provided: 

  • Childcare for ages 3-12 

  • Only currently or waitlisted Young Children’s Community (12 months - 3 years) students may reserve childcare

  • Light dinner appetizers for adults and children the evening of the 26th

  • Light breakfast and lunch for adults and children on the 27th 

This event is open to all who wish to deepen their understanding of Montessori education, whether you are a parent, educator, or simply curious about this transformative approach to learning.

Kindly RSVP by January 19th to ensure your place on this enlightening journey. Space is limited, and we look forward to sharing this remarkable experience with you.

International Children’s Day

Dear MSIMS Community,

Mark your calendars as we gear up for our final whole school community event of the Fall Quarter! Join us on November 17th at 2:15 PM in our MPR for a jubilant celebration of International Children’s Day (also known as World Children’s Day)!

You Will Enjoy:

  • Enthralling cultural performances. (With your help!) 

  • A delightful community potluck.

  • Insightful and immersive presentations from our talented Elementary students.

  • A time to come together in gratitude for our school and its global approach to education.

  • Appreciation for each child for who they will become and their contributions to the world.

  • Art displays created by your child, regardless of their level. 

The Details:

  • Children and adults are invited to dress up in attire representing your heritage or a country of your choice! Creativity is highly encouraged and welcomed! (Elementary students will receive specific information from Joni and Madhavi.)

  • Prepare and bring a tantalizing potluck dish from your heritage or your favorite international cuisine… YUM!  Don't forget to provide a label including ALL ingredients. (MSIMS will provide cutlery, plates, and napkins.) Feel free to drop off your potluck dishes anytime on November 17th. We have electrical outlets available for crockpot/slow cooker dishes.

  • Ready to shine? Sign up to showcase your talent or encourage anyone in your Boulder or NorCo members to participate! 

  • Get inspired by engaging presentations and indulge in a delectable array of global flavors, all while cherishing this precious time together.

  • Visit the captivating living museum in Elementary, highlighting fascinating research presentations from around the world. Don't miss the delightful art displays created by your children across different levels!

Calling all talent! We warmly invite parents and family friends to contribute to this special day. Do you have a unique cultural or special talent, or do you know someone who does? Whether it's music, dance, storytelling, poetry reading, or any other talent, sign up by November 10th using the link below. Stay tuned for the week's schedule of events! Our Primary and Elementary students will wrap-up the program with delightful performances.

After the presentations, let's all relish the potluck feast together and explore the Elementary living museum, showcasing an array of international research presentations!
