Serving Mountain Shadows since 2024

Leslie Alger, originally from Mexico City, spent three years in Boston while her children were young, and they are now both completing their education in New York. With two decades of expertise in writing, editing, and publishing educational materials for children aged 1 to 12, Leslie's career spans creating science exhibitions at the Children’s Museum in Mexico City for a decade and writing and editing children's books for 15 years.

Her academic background includes a Bachelor's Degree in International Relations and an MBA. Notably, she collaborated in 2011 on a team that crafted a Diccionario para Armar, a project resulting in the prestigious Bologna Ragazzi Award at the International Bologna Book Fair, offering countless hours of joy and amazement.

What she values most are her voluntary contributions, having worked with organizations such as the Red Cross in Mexico, the Mother Teresa Headquarters in Calcutta, the Human Library in Denmark, and most recently, the Children's Hospital in Denver.

Leslie's passions revolve around creativity, linguistics, poetry, health education, and social innovation. Her philosophy centers on the essential elements of education, solidarity, justice, and humanity, encapsulated in her favorite quote by Terentius: “I am a man, and nothing pertaining to man is alien to me”.

During her leisure time, she indulges in reading, scuba diving, and absorbing diverse perspectives on how the world operates. And it's no secret that she adores homemade oatmeal cookies and tacos, savoring them 24/7.
