Tuition

The annual tuition consists of two parts:  (1)non-refundable deposit and (2) balance of tuition.

Return of the signed enrollment contract and payment of the non-refundable tuition deposit, which is part of the total tuition, confirms the parents' intent to enroll their child for the year.  Acceptance of the non-refundable tuition deposit and signed enrollment contract by the school allows us to reserve a space for the child.  In the event that the child thereafter does not enroll or attends less than the full  year for any reason, including, but not limited to, voluntary or involuntary withdrawal, the tuition deposit is not refundable, transferable or pro-ratable

The balance of tuition can be paid either in advance at the beginning of the school year, or in monthly installments due August 1st through May 1st.  NOTE: Parents are not billed.  It is the responsibility for each family to submit payments on or before the due dates.  Payments must be made by check or money order, and should include the child's name and purpose of payment.

The above tuition is for the first child in the family.  A discount (approximately 7%) is given for the academic portion of the day for the siblings, based on the above-chosen plan.

Families are eligible to receive a prepayment discount (approximately a 3% discount) for paying the full tuition balance prior to the beginning of the school year, as detailed in the enrollment contract.

Additional fees are charged for child care, after school classes, activity days, class trips and summer programs.  Fees are set once the program and activity costs have been determined.

Financial Aid

Financial aid is  available to new and returning students on a need basis.  Mountain Shadows uses SSS, School and Student Services for Financial Aid, in Princeton, N.J. to review  financial aid applications.  This provides a confidential, unbiased analysis of the family's financial information.
