Mountain Shadows Campus and Classroom Visit for Parents
Mountain Shadows Campus and Classroom Visit for Parents
The first step in the admissions process is the parent Campus and Classroom Visit. This 90-minute tour begins with the opportunity to spend time in Montessori classrooms observing our students in their daily activities. Your classroom observation allows you to experience firsthand our vibrant and inviting Montessori environments designed according to Dr. Maria Montessori and her Association Montessori Internationale principles.
Where you observe depends on the age of your child(ren):
- You may watch with wonder our as Primary Program students (ages 3 through 6) independently make choices in their Montessori work, or witness their cognitive discoveries as they work with the materials. No matter what work they are engaged in, you’ll see their joy within the learning process.
- You may observe our Elementary I students (ages 6 through 9) diligently working together in small groups on research papers, math projects, or a paleontology timeline.
- Or you will experience the focus and concentration of our Elementary II students (ages 9 through 12) as they carry out their daily agenda of math, history, science, and language works, either independently or in collaboration with their peers and their teacher.
Following your classroom visit, you will enjoy a tour of our beautiful and spacious 12-acre rural campus, including our playgrounds, our Multi-Purpose Room, and visits to our other Montessori classrooms. Our School Director will answer all your questions about our school’s daily schedules, how our Education Programs are consistently delivered, and how your child will benefit from our supportive and nurturing environment. You will have ample opportunity to ask specific questions.
Upon completion of your campus visit, we will provide you with additional information, including tuition rates, to help you better understand how Mountain Shadows is beneficial to your child’s learning.
Following your campus visit, we are always available to answer any additional questions you may have during your decision-making process.
The next step in the application process is to submit an Application for admission followed by Your Child’s Campus Visit.
